Terms & Conditions of your holiday booking

Please note: we reserve the right to vary the following if conditions demand.

It is our aim that all our holiday guests enjoy their stay with us. To this end, we have just a few rules which, if kept, enable the smooth running, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere of the site for all guests. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave should their behaviour ignore the rules below.

General 

Cars – we allow 1 car per pitch. A second car, large vans, commercial vehicles can park in the car park for £5 per stay.

Barrier – cars cannot pass through the barrier between the hours of 11pm and 8am to comply with our site quiet policy. If you need to leave earlier than 8am, please speak with reception on arrival and you may park in the main carpark. In case of an emergency, please use the yellow phone on the front reception wall.

Commercial vehicles – no commercial, sign-written or vehicles without any windows behind driver and passenger seats in the touring field or by the pitches. These vehicles must be parked on our main car park for a fee of £5. No commercial enterprise or business activities may take place on the park.

Site quiet – please note site quiet is between 11pm – 8am. This includes noise of any description including vehicle movement. This is for the best interest of our guests, and we do complete nightly checks. This doesn’t suit everyone so please make sure you are happy with our ‘site quiet’ policy before booking. Playing music should be kept to a low level and should not be heard by other guests.

Group bookings – no larger than three pitches per group. Please note we do not accept larger groups, stag or hen parties. If found on arrival to have made individual booking and then form a group, you may be asked to leave the park without refund.

Children – children are the responsibility of their parents and must not play football or games around the touring park. Please use the football field or games room provided. Under 12s must be accompanied to the children’s playground.

Behaviour – whilst on the park please respect others and their property. No verbal, physical or disrespectful behaviour will be tolerated. Those in breach will be asked to leave the site without refund.

Touring bookings 

Bookings and payments – a non-refundable deposit of £25 per pitch per booking, or full payment when the total amount is less than the deposit required. Balance to be paid two weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made within two weeks of arrival must be paid for in full. Please see our cancellation terms below.

Black Bull Caravan Park recommends that customers take out travel insurance to cover cancellations.

Check in – strictly no arrival until 1pm on the day of arrival. Please notify us in advance of any arrival which will be after 6pm, and if you fail to notify us of a different arrival date, we have the right to re-let the pitch.

Check out – on departure, the pitch to be vacated by 12 noon unless you have made alternative arrangements with reception. A late stay may be possible up to 4pm with a £4 charge, pending availability.

Pitches – allocated pitches may change prior to arrival, but pitch type will always remain the same.

Minimum stays – a minimum of 2 nights stay and 3 nights across bank and public holidays.

Dogs – dogs are free of charge with a maximum of 2 dogs per booking. Dogs must be exercised in the designated areas and not around your pitch where they must be always kept on leads. Please pick up after them using the allocated dog waste bins. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time. If your pets show aggressive behaviour, management reserves the right to request owners and dogs to leave the park without refund.

Awnings and gazebos – awnings must be securely fastened. Gazebos are not permitted.

Fires and BBQs – no open fires of any kind are permitted. Barbecues are permitted but must not be turned into an open fire after use and must be kept off the ground/grass. Stands are available from reception at a fee of £5, with a £5 refundable deposit.

Cancellations within 14 days of arrival – your deposit and balance are non-refundable. Booking can be transferred to a new date within the current year, subject to availability.

Cancellations with 15 days or more notice – your deposit is non-refundable, but remaining balance is refundable, or the booking can be transferred to a new date within the current year, subject to availability.

Static holiday home 

Bookings and payments – subject to a non-refundable deposit of £50 per unit. Balance to be paid six weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made within six weeks of arrival must be paid for in full. Please see our cancellation terms below.

We would recommend taking out cancellation insurance to cover this cost. There are no fees for debit and credit cards.

Minimum stays – minimum stay 2 nights in low season only. High and mid-season operates a Saturday-to-Saturday booking. See website or contact reception for further information.

Group bookings – no more than 2 units per booking. Please note we do not accept groups, stag or hen parties. If found on arrival to have made individual bookings – and then form a group – you may be asked to leave without refund.

Occupancy – maximum occupancy is strictly limited to 6 people including children and infants in cots, as advertised online. The management reserves the right to terminate at any time, without refund if the accommodation is found to be occupied by more than the persons stated on the booking form.

Check in – units are available strictly no from 3pm on the day of arrival. Keys, barrier cards and bedding will be issued on arrival. Please notify us in advance of any arrival which will be after 6pm. If you fail to notify us of a different arrival date, we have the right to re-let the unit.

Check out – all units are to be vacated by 10am and all keys, barrier cards must be returned to the office or drop-box upon departure. Please leave all bedding within the holiday home.

Keys – available at reception from 3pm on the day of arrival. Please notify us in advance of any arrival which will be after 6pm. On departure, keys are to be returned to reception or drop-box by 10am. Lost keys will be charged at £5 each.

Barrier cards – will be issued with keys at the time of check in on the day of arrival. Lost cards will be charged at £5 each.

Bedding – bedding is supplied based on the number of occupants on the day of arrival and can be found inside the holiday home. On departure all bedding must be stripped from the bed (aside from protectors) and placed inside a pillowcase and left in the holiday home. Extra bedding is charged at £5 per set.

Dogs – dogs are welcome in pre-booked units with a £20 surcharge for cleaning. Please do not allow your dogs in the bedrooms, bathrooms or on the sofas. Dogs must be exercised in the designated areas and always kept on a lead. Please pick up after them using the allocated dog waste bins. Maximum of 2 dogs per unit.

Disclaimer: The management will not accept responsibility for the loss, theft, damage or injury to any person or their property whilst on the premises. CCTV is in operation on the premises. Any theft/ damage to property at Black Bull will be chargeable. Black Bull Caravan Park recommends that customers take out their own travel insurance.
